Building the site is really just a first step. The key to having a
successful site is promoting your Internet presence after the site is
built. A web site is not a "build it and they will come" proposition.
Without carefully planned promotion, your site will simply be lost
among literally millions of other sites, perhaps thousands offering
products or services similar to yours. People can't visit your
site if they don't know you have one. Newspaper, radio, signage,
all types of "conventional" advertising can be utilized to promote
your web presence. You should also make a commitment to have
your web name on every business card, brochure, invoice, etc., that
you utilize in your business.

Most people have the idea that without top placement on

engines a site is destined to be a flop. While top placement can
